Manchester United had a busy end to the 2025 summer transfer window with numerous arrivals and departures at Old Trafford last week.

The Reds splashed out £18 million to sign goalkeeper Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp on deadline day amid Andre Onana's uncertain future in M16. Ruben Amorim will be banking on the 23-year-old, who boasted the highest number of clean sheets in the Belgian Pro League last season, to make an immediate impact for United.

As for departures, United also approved several exits with Rasmus Hojlund finalising a loan move to Napoli. In other news, Antony sealed a permanent transfer to Real Betis, Jadon Sancho confirmed a loan to Aston Villa and Harry Amass departed to join Championship strugglers Sheffield Wednesday.

Below is a look at the latest media reports surrounding United as well as a view on each one...

Stiller blow

United reportedly missed out on signing a midfielder, with late confidential discussions, described as 'secret' by the Mirror taking place for Stuttgart star Angelo Stiller.

The Mirror report that a deal could certainly be revisited as the 24-year-old is one of Europe's most promising midfielders, but any move would depend on Stuttgart's valuation.

Isaac Seelochan of The Manchester Evening News says: "Stiller will no doubt have been an improvement on United's current options. However, Brighton's Carlos Baleba and Crystal Palace's Adam Wharton are better options and it's worth waiting until next summer for one of those two instead of going for second best."

Gallagher claim

The Mirror report that Atletico Madrid were not prepared to let Conor Gallagher depart late in the transfer window, especially on loan. However, the England star requires regular game time ahead of the World Cup.

Palace are reportedly keen to re-sign the 25-year-old, while United are said to have considered a late move - and both clubs are expected to maintain their interest.

Isaac Seelochan of The Manchester Evening News says: "Gallagher would have been a good short-term option for United and provided them with the Premier League experience Ineos have been so keen to sign this summer. Having said that, the most immediate areas of weakness have been strengthened and perhaps a move could be revisited in January."
