The Las Vegas Raiders want to turn the franchise around.
That’s why they hired one of the best head coaches available.
Pete Carroll is a proven winner and culture-setter, and he will look to work his magic in Sin City now.
Notably, he will do so while making NFL history.
As pointed out by Adam Schefter of ESPN, Coach Carroll is about to become the oldest coach of all time when his team takes the field in Week 1:
“Raiders HC Pete Carroll will set an NFL record today: At 73 years and 357 days old today, Carroll will become the oldest head coach in NFL history, even if he hardly acts like it,” Schefter posted on X.

The Raiders will travel to Foxboro to meet with the New England Patriots in a duel between recently-hired head coaches.
They will look to lead the team back to contention after years of struggles, and they might be one of the most-improved teams in all of football this season.
The Raiders reunited Geno Smith with Coach Carroll, trading for the former Seattle Seahawks quarterback to get him to work under Chip Kelly’s offense.
Kelly’s record is a bit of a mixed bag, but he’s got a sharp offensive mind, and with Coach Carroll calling the shots, this team should be dangerous.
They also added an elite weapon in RB Ashton Jeanty, who’s coming off one of the greatest seasons in college football history.
All things considered, it wouldn’t be much of a surprise to see this team compete for a playoff spot.
Not many 70-year-olds are as active and lucid as Pete Carroll, and he should be an inspiration for everybody out there who feels like he’s too old to do anything.
