The Texans won the 2024 offseason, but found the results disappointing with a 10-7 record through injuries and the underperformance of acquisitions such as wideout Stephon Diggs, who was limited to eight games. Houston made perhaps fewer impactful moves on paper in advance of the ‘25 campaign, but hope to see more dividends from running back Nick Chubb and wideout Christian Kirk, among others, to help the franchise jump a level. Third-year quarterback C.J. Stroud is at the forefront of a hopeful leap into contention, while the Texans defense also looks better on paper with most of a unit back that ranked No. 5 in the NFL in total yardage (315.0 ypg).
The Rams got hot in the second half of last season to win the NFC West Division and play into the Divisional Round of the NFC Playoff. The team opened 1-4 through five weeks, then went 9-3 after its Week 6 bye to finish the regular season with a 10-7 mark. Quarterback Matthew Stafford is back to give it another go, troublesome back and all, for an offense that moved on from franchise staple Cooper Kupp and brought on board another veteran perhaps beyond his prime in Davante Adams.
The Rams and Seahawks are set for a 4:25 p.m. ET start on CBS. Live streams are available from DirecTV (free trial) and FuboTV (low intro rate).
The game will also stream on Paramount+.
