Geno Smith shines in New England, breaks 45-year record for most passing yards in a Raiders…

The numbers may have been a bit misleading heading into Geno Smith's Raiders debut.

Allow me to quickly explain.

Recently, media pundits and analysts have looked into how Smith has performed over the last three seasons in dome stadiums versus open roof stadiums.

In 14 indoor games as Seattle's starting quarterback: 30 touchdowns, five interceptions and a 110.8 passer rating. In 36 games outdoors: 43 touchdowns, 31 interceptions, 89.7 quarterback rating.

Sunday afternoon, Smith entered Gillette Stadium in a pouring rain that didn't seem to let up for four quarters.

With the exception of picked off pass, a masterclass followed suit.

"I'm me. That's all I think about. I don't think about anything else; I'm me," Smith declared postgame. "I know who I am, I know what I can do.

"Mistakes happen, things happen within the game. There was a tipped pass, I made the right read, could've made a better throw. ... Not going to hang my head, I'm keep going. ... I just know who I am. I know what I can do on that field so I never worry."
