Few people had a more eventful offseason than Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen.
After tying the knot with Hailee Steinfeld in May, the couple jetted off to Hawaii for their honeymoon. The NFL’s MVP also signed a new six-year, $330 million contract with a record-breaking $250 million guaranteed.
As Allen enters his eighth season in the NFL, his main goal remains unchanged, and that’s to bring Buffalo its first-ever Super Bowl championship. In an exclusive interview with Heavy Sports before facing the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1, Allen said he feels ready to rock and in prime shape after making tweaks to his diet and conditioning routine.
While Allen always throws up before a game, the 29-year-old makes sure to fuel up well the night before. And there’s a special place he goes with his wife before games at Highmark Stadium.

Allen keeps a special tradition with Steinfeld during the NFL season. “When I’m staying in Buffalo, typically, me and my wife have a little routine of eating at little Italian spot called Mangia,” Allen said. “So we keep it pretty similar, keep it pretty much the same here.”
As for his meal selection on the road, “It’s a rotating thing,” he continued. “I think based on where we play, you know, whether it’s like Door-dashing or Insta-carting or getting food from a local spot… It’s pasta, or some fried rice and chicken, that’s probably my go-to.”
Steinfeld, 28, has quietly attended nearly every Bills game, home and away, since the famous couple first started dating in 2023. While she stays away from the jumbotron and never posts on social media from the stadium, the “Sinners” star dedicated the most recent issue of Beau Society to her game day fits.
The Oscar-nominated actress wrote, “On game days, I usually keep it to jeans, a t-shirt, and a hat. That’s my go-to formula; however, I have a lot of fun leaning into my vintage collection (which has turned into a real treasure trove in our basement), finding special pieces to pull out for the pure celebration that is a Sunday at Highmark Stadium.”
Josh Allen Also Has A Weekly Dinner Date With His Fellow Bills Quarterbacks Each Week

On Friday nights, or depending on the game schedule, Allen meets up with backup quarterback Mitch Trubisky and the practice squad’s Shane Buechele for dinner. If the team is traveling, the dinner takes place “one day before we have to travel,” Allen said.
While going out in public sounds like it may be difficult for the most famous person in Buffalo, “We have our places that we frequent and have a good relationship with some of the restaurant owners and staff and are able to find ways to be put in the back or into a little room,” Allen said.
“And honestly, it’s one of my favorite things,” he said of the QB’s dinner. “I started doing them a few years ago, and it’s something to look forward to at the end of the week. You get to go hang out and break bread together. We get to ask each other questions and continue to learn more about each other.”
