The Bills open their final season at Highmark Stadium against the opponent it bounced from the AFC Divisional Round last January.

In a matchup between the two most recent NFL MVPs, the Bills and Ravens square off in the nightcap of the first Sunday of the NFL season.

Neither Josh Allen nor Lamar Jackson played in the preseason, a practice familiar to the Ravens’ two-time MVP as the team prioritizes his health heading into the season.

Allen is just as indispensable for the Bills, which enter Sunday’s game with injury concerns at some key positions. The interior of the defensive line is dealing with attrition; the secondary has concerns at cornerback; and kicker Tyler Bass was placed on IR earlier this week as a result of soreness in his pelvis.

The Bills offense, however, appear to be near full strength.

Dynamo Khalil Shakir was a full participant in Thursday’s practice, indicating the slot receiver has recovered from a high ankle sprain suffered in training camp. Veterans Curtis Samuel and Elijah Moore both missed time for personal reasons over the past week. Samuel is not active for tonight’s game as he recovers from a hamstring injury.

Other Bills inactives:

CB Tre’Davious White

OL Sedrick Van Pran-Granger

S Jordan Hancock

OL Chase Lundt

DE Landon Jackson

Ravens inactives include tight end Isaiah Likely.
