Marcus Rashford’s future at Barcelona depends on him impressing in Spain during his loan spell this season.
Out of Ruben Amorim’s ‘bomb squad’ this summer, Marcus Rashford was the first to leave after striking an agreement with Barcelona to join on loan.
There is a £26m buy option for Rashford next summer, and United in Focus were told by Graeme Bailey that Barcelona intend to trigger the clause to make it a permanent deal in 2026.
But there is still plenty of pressure on the 27-year-old to perform in Spain, with Roy Keane casting doubt on Rashford and his ability to perform at Barcelona.
Rashford was taken off at half-time in his last Barcelona match, and it has sparked speculation about how his start in Spain has been received.

Instead, Balague reports that Barcelona have contacted Rashford’s camp to say they have “a lot of confidence” in Rashford’s ability to recover as a top player.
Rashford has already been warned that his career is on the line at Barcelona, but it seems the Spanish club are happier with his performances than some reports have suggested.
Marcus Rashford still settling at Barcelona
While Rashford starred in pre-season for Barcelona, he is yet to truly get going in Spain.
In their first three La Liga matches, Rashford has only played 98 minutes for Barcelona and is yet to score or assist for his new club.
Ahead of his move this summer, Rashford was warned about Spanish media, and it seems he has already become a target early into his loan spell.

But he is yet to play a full 90 minutes for Barcelona, and like Benjamin Sesko at Old Trafford, he cannot be judged until he has fully settled and caught up to speed.
After the international break, Barcelona continue their La Liga campaign and also begin their Champions League campaign. Rashford will hope for more regular game time in both competitions.
