Mbappe tips his Premier League favorites

Kylian Mbappe has picked his favorites to win the 2025-26 Premier League. The Real Madrid star has given his early shout on who could lift England’s top prize this season.

Mbappe weighs in on the Premier League title race

The new Premier League season has only just begun. But, the discussions about who is going to lead the pack and win the title is already building momentum.

Liverpool start the season as the reigning champions after they won the PL title with relative ease last year. But, both Manchester City and Arsenal have ambitions to change that this year. Chelsea are also looking to get involved after winning the Club World Cup.

Yet, all of this leaves Kylian Mbappe in keeping a close check on the action in the English game. Asked for his early thoughts, Mbappe admitted that City and Liverpool remain the safe bets. But, he was quick to throw Arsenal’s name into the ring.

Speaking to Bild, the Real Madrid star highlighted that Mikel Arteta’s Gunners might finally be ready to break through.

He said: “Maybe Arsenal, maybe it will be their year. It would certainly be easier to say City or Liverpool.”

🚨🔴‼️ Kylian Mbappe on Arsenal being favourites to win the Premier League:

“Liverpool has to be mentioned, but I also have high hopes for Arsenal, because the core of the team has known each other for a long time.”

“Maybe Arsenal, maybe it will be their year.

Arsenal and Liverpool catch striker’s eye

When pressed to pick just one side, Mbappe admitted it’s “tough,” but hinted this could finally be Arsenal’s year. That is itself a brave call given this club’s recent history of near misses under Arteta. However, Mbappe’s words hold power because he knows what it takes to take a league campaign by the reins.

He also implied Liverpool are still in the mix, with Slot’s side likely to defend their crown. Meanwhile, City may be chasing one last title under Guardiola, which adds more drama to the race.

Author’s Opinion:

Kylian Mbappe’s pick of Arsenal feels more like hope than certainty. But, it reflects how far they’ve come under head coach Mikel Arteta. If Liverpool stay consistent, they’ll be the side to beat once again.
