Manor Solomon supported after emotional statement amid Leeds United reminder

Manor Solomon has been supported by a number of teammates after making his return to the international set-up with Israel. The former Leeds United loanee has missed a large chunk of pre-season with an injury, having hoped to nail down a place in Tottenham's starting XI this season.

The 26-year-old was one of the standout performers for Daniel Farke's side last season as the Whites won promotion back to the Premier League, with Solomon becoming a fan favourite in that time.

There had been some hope that the winger would return to Elland Road this summer, with his future unclear at Spurs. However, Crystal Palace appeared the most likely to sign the Israel international, before he opted to sign for La Liga side Villareal.

Solomon has been quiet throughout the summer, having regularly posted Leeds updates on his social media platform instagram. Having got married during the summer interval and sustaining an injury, he eventually broke his silence with an emotional update from Israel's 4-0 win over Moldova.

The former Leeds winger scored the second goal of the game with a brilliant run in off the left-flank, something Whites' supporters became so accustomed to seeing in a brilliant reminder.

Taking to Instagram, Solomon shared a series of images from the game, captioning them: "Great team performance. [Flexed bicep emoji and blue heart] It feels good to be back"

The former Leeds winger also shared a video of his goal, brilliantly cutting in from the left-hand side of the pitch before a one-two, receiving the ball in space on the edge of the box and calmly picking out the bottom corner.

Solomon also assisted the opening goal of the game, teeing up Dor Peretz after just 15 minutes. The former Whites' man was brilliant upon his return for his country, creating three big chances and completing four successful dribbles.

International teammate and new Ajax man Oscar Gloukh was among those to like the social media posts and support Solomon after his injury lay-off. Fellow Israeli Yarden Shua also liked the video reel of the 26-year-old's goal.
