Spanish journalist Guillem Balague has strongly denied claims that Barcelona are considering ending Marcus Rashford's loan move to the club during the January transfer window.
The 27-year-old left Manchester United to join Barcelona on loan at the end of July, and he has represented the Catalan team on three occasions in Spain's top flight this season, starting once.
It has been suggested that Barcelona are already considering Rashford's future, with the England international failing to register a goal or an assist in his early time at Camp Nou.
However, Balague has branded the rumours "absolutely rubbish".
"Barca told his representative that they have a lot of confidence in Rashford’s potential and that they believe he will recover as a top player," Balague posted on his X account.
Meanwhile, according to The Sun, sources close to Rashford have indicated that there is no chance of the player returning to Old Trafford in the winter market despite the speculation.

Barcelona 'not considering' ending Rashford loan arrangement
Barcelona have the option to sign Rashford on a permanent basis next summer, with the fee believed to be £30m.
A long-term switch to Camp Nou is far from certain, but it is incredibly difficult to imagine Rashford playing for Man United again, especially while Ruben Amorim is in charge of the 20-time English champions.
Rashford was given the nod from the first whistle against Levante in the second gameweek of the 2025-26 La Liga campaign, but he struggled to make his mark and was replaced at the half-time break.
The forward is expected to find it difficult to fully break into the starting XI unless there is a major injury in the final third of the field, with Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres all ahead of him in the pecking order.

What happens if Barcelona do not sign Rashford next summer?
Should Barcelona decide against paying £30m for Rashford next year, then they will have to pay Man United a penalty fee of £4.3m - a similar arrangement to the one the Red Devils had with Chelsea last year regarding Jadon Sancho.
Rashford actually has a contract at Old Trafford until June 2028, and Man United would be in another tough spot next summer if Barcelona decide not to bring the Englishman in on a permanent basis.
The attacker has scored 138 goals and registered 78 assists in 426 appearances for his parent club in all competitions, but his relationship with head coach Amorim broke down in the early stages of the Portuguese's tenure at Old Trafford.
