Leeds United forward Harry Gray has been shortlisted for the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award for August, after a strong start to the new campaign with the club’s U21s.
Gray hit the ground running in PL2, opening his account with a superb brace in a 3–0 win away at Aston Villa U21s, before scoring the opener in a 3–2 defeat to Ipswich Town at Thorp Arch.
The 16-year-old rounded out his month by netting a late winner to seal a 2–1 victory over Burnley U21s at Turf Moor, helping the Whites climb up to eighth place after three games.
Gray faces competition for the award from Shumaira Mheuka _(Chelsea)_, Shane Nti _(Brighton)_, Charlie Tasker _(Brighton)_, Reiss-Alexander Russell-Denny _(Tottenham)_, Charles Sagoe _(Arsenal)_, Mirsad Ali _(Leicester)_ and Kevon Gray _(Leicester)_.
