Final meeting today–Thursday flight for Manchester United transfer scheduled but not guaranteed

André Onana has failed to impress for Manchester United since joining them from Inter Milan in 2023.

Ruben Amorim has favoured Altay Bayındır ahead of Onana in the Premier League this season, and the latter had an opportunity to impress the manager in the EFL Cup tie against Grimsby Town. He conceded two goals and the Red Devils were knocked out of the EFL Cup via a shootout.

Manchester United acted in the market by signing Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp on deadline day, and his arrival is set to force Onana out of Old Trafford.

Trabzonspor have stepped in to sign the 29-year-old and Monday’s edition of Sabah brings the latest from a Turkish perspective. Super Lig clubs can still carry out signings as the window in Turkey is open until September 12th.

An agreement has been reached with Manchester United to sign the former Ajax man on a season-long loan deal. There will be a final meeting today to agree terms with the goalkeeper.

Whilst there’s not thought to be any issue, Sabah believe it’s not quite as done as reported elsewhere and everything will be finalised today. A Thursday flight is planned.
