Arsenal defender William Saliba is “unlikely” to be available until the conclusion of the NEXT international break, according to reports in France.
The 24-year-old twisted his ankle in the warm-up before the 1-0 defeat to Liverpool at the end of last month.

Saliba opted to start the match but it soon became clear that he couldn’t continue, and he was replaced by Cristhian Mosquera.
The centre-back subsequently dropped out of France’s squad for their World Cup qualifiers against Ukraine and Iceland, butL’Equipe claim that he could also be missing when Les Blues take on Azerbaijan and Iceland in October.
Which Arsenal games could Saliba miss?
The Frenchman reportedly needs another three to four weeks of treatment before making his return to action, and that means he could be ruled out for some big fixtures.
Between now and the October international break, Mikel Arteta’s side play seven matches in all competitions. In the league, they play Nottingham Forest (h), Manchester City (h), Newcastle (a) and West Ham (h).
The Gunners also have two Champions League games against Athletic Bilbao (a) and Olympiakos (h), as well as a Carabao Cup third round tie versus Port Vale (a).
Other Arsenal injury news
There is hope that Bukayo Saka will be back in contention very soon. The winger picked up a hamstring injury during the 5-0 win over Leeds last month, but there was confidence he’d return within 4 weeks.
Christian Norgaard and Ben White were suffering from knocks, but the two-week break should have given them time to recover. Gabriel Jesus is also expected to be close to making his comeback from the ACL injury he sustained against Manchester United at the start of this year. Kai HAvertz, meanwhile, has undergone surgery on his own knee problem and he is set to be sidelined for many weeks.
