The matchup between the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions was one of the most anticipated heading into Week 1 of the 2025 NFL season.
People wanted to see how both teams would be in the new season, as the NFC North is shaping up to be a dogfight of a division.
One additional piece to this game made it that much more exciting, as Micah Parsons made his debut with the organization after the Packers made a massive trade for him.
While Parsons didn’t play every snap, as he is recovering from an injury, his presence was felt whenever he was on the field.
He and the Packers’ defensive line had their way with the Lions’ offensive line, making it difficult for Jared Goff and the offense to get anything going.
Parsons made a direct impact on this game, something Packers fans are looking forward to over the next several years.
He was interviewed after this performance, talking about what it meant to play his first game at Lambeau and the experience of wearing green and gold.
“I can’t lie, it gave me chills. This environment, the first time, how they embraced me, the fans. This was 1 of 1. This was really just a blessing in disguise. I couldn’t imagine it’d be like this,” Parsons said.

Parsons seems honored to be a member of this organization and to play alongside his friend, Jordan Love.
The fanbase instantly embraced him, and if this game was any indication of what he’s going to do this year, and how good the Packers will be this season, the rest of the league could be in trouble.
