The Dallas Cowboys started their season off with a brutal loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on the road. A 24-20 loss stung after Dallas’ offense started off with four straight scoring drives.
However, it was later in the weekend when a bonafide star for the team had something passionate to say.

Cowboys’ Trevon Diggs took to social media after Micah Parsons’ first sack with Green Bay went viral:
This can’t be real. Wake me up from the dream https://t.co/uazd4SuMj4

Even though Parsons played a limited role as he was nursing a back injury, his impact on a defense that tore apart a Detroit Lions team many believed would compete for a Super Bowl shows what an egregious mistake the Cowboys made in parting ways with a player of Parsons’ caliber.
Cowboys defensive back Trevon Diggs, who was very close with Parsons and has not been shy about showing how upset he was with this move, is still beside himself as he tries to reckon with the decision to move Parsons to one of their biggest rivals.
Diggs tweeted that seeing Parsons in Packers green “can’t be real” and pleaded for someone to “wake me up from the dream.” Unfortunately for Diggs and Cowboys fans, the dream has become reality, and the Packers will benefit from a mind-boggling decision from Jerry Jones.
Parsons’ gravity is what will take the Packers from good to great this season. Even if teams start to key in on Parsons, players like former first-round pick Lukas Van Ness and emerging star Rashan Gary could have even better seasons with less offensive attention coming their way.

While Kenny Clark is a fine player, even he knows that he and two first-round picks in the late 20s are by no means an adequate package in any sort of Parsons trade. Clark was also unable to turn the Cowboys into one of the better run defense teams in the league, which is what Jones wanted when he dealt Parsons away.
The three biggest mistakes Jones made in this Parsons trade were giving Green Bay’s No. 1 away for pennies on the dollar, trading him to an NFC rival who looks like a Super Bowl team right now, and making the move without considering the ripple effect it would have on a locker room that is going through some troubles.
With the Cowboys 0-1 and Diggs one of many reeling players, it is clear that Dallas has ended the Parsons situation in the most toxic and destructive way possible.
