Nottingham Forest star Elliot Anderson is now an England international.
The 22-year-old made his debut for the Three Lions in a 2-0 win over Andorra on Saturday, with Thomas Tuchel raving about Anderson after his performance.
Anderson has come into Tuchel’s thinking on the back of fine form with Forest and some impressive displays at the European under-21 Championship during the summer.
Last season, Gary Neville raved about Anderson, and now, it would appear that people are starting to actually take notice of the midfielder outside of Nottingham.
England face their toughest test of the World Cup qualifiers when Serbia, and Nikola Milenkovic, will be hoping to topple Tuchel’s team.

Robert Earnshaw makes Elliot Anderson claim
With Anderson getting the Player of the Match accolade, Tuchel now has a decision to make.
For the next game, the Forest man should get the chance to start, but if he keeps playing well, the question remains over whether he becomes a starter for the World Cup.
Earnshaw believes he’s definitely in the mix for the World Cup starting spot but does believe Jude Bellingham will definitely play when he’s fit.

He told Sky Sports News: “I think Bellingham has to play and I think Declan Rice has to play but the only way I think you miss out is if you want to play Rice just a little bit more advanced, you need another one as a holder and, it’s probably not his best position, but if you want another one, it’s probably Anderson, he can do that.
“Right now, he’s saying, ‘pick me’, with every touch of the ball. He’s seriously impressive. When everyone is fit, it’s probably going to be hard for Anderson to start, but I tell you what, when you’ve got somebody like that, by the end of the season, we could be talking about one of the brightest young midfielders in the Premier League!”

Anderson is a certainty for the World Cup on current form
With Morgan Gibbs-White waiting to see whether or not he will manage to play his way into Tuchel’s thinking for a starting berth, there are no such uncertainties for Anderson.
The midfielder operates in an area where England are relatively short on real quality and Anderson does bring something a little bit different to any other midfielder at Tuchel’s disposal.
It will be interesting to see what happens but with Anderson playing Europa League football this season, it feels as though there is a real opportunity to make the squad for the World Cup.
That certainly bodes well for Forest this season, with the youngster likely keen to keep his place and up his level even more during the campaign.
