The New York Giants' offense looked rather uninspiring with Russell Wilson under center in Week 1. But heading into Week 2, Giants head coach Brian Daboll isn't ready to make any drastic changes just yet.
Wilson had his fair share of struggles in Week 1 against the Commanders, completing just 46 percent of his passes, throwing for 168 passing yards en route to a 21-6 loss.
It was far from the Giants debut that Wilson was looking to put together. But despite the fact that the Giants organization has a young quarterback in Jaxson Dart who is coming off of an incredibly impressive preseason, Brian Daboll is not ready to hand over the starting quarterback reigns to Dart.

According to NFL insider Mike Garafolo, Brian Daboll told reporters on Monday that Wilson will get another shot at starting in the team's Week 2 game against the Dallas Cowboys.
Wilson's track record speaks for itself, reaching ten Pro Bowls over the course of his career and famously leading the Seattle Seahawks to a Super Bowl victory in 2014.
However, Wilson hasn't shown to be the player he once was in several years now. So while Brian Daboll is rolling with his veteran quarterback for the time being, calls for Dart to take over for Wilson will certainly only get louder if we see Wilson continue to struggle moving forward.

Typically, coaches like to have a rookie quarterback enter into the fold going into a longer week, whether that be off of a Bye Week, or the week after coming off of a Thursday Night Football game, to give them more time to implement a game plan.
The first instance of this for the Giants will come after Week 6 and heading into Week 7, where the team will have ten days to prepare for a Week 7 game against the Denver Broncos.
So if Wilson continues to underperform by that point, that could very well be a point where Daboll gives Dart a shot at showing that his performance in the preseason is no fluke.
