Smith Njigba, who accounted for 124 of Seattle's 150 receiving yards, was targeted 10 times on 13 routes run vs. zone coverage, catching eight passes for 84 yards, and three times on eight routes run in man coverage, with one catch, the 40-yard reception on Seattle's final drive that put them in the red zone with a chance to win the game.
But while Smith-Njigba was a standout on Sunday, the Seahawks hope to get more production out of the rest of their offense moving forward so they aren't so reliant on one player in the passing game.
"Jax made a lot of great plays," Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald said. "There is more opportunity for him out there, which I'm sure he'll tell you. We're going to count on everybody. See who else steps up so it's not the Jax show every snap."
