ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) - In October, some of the Midwest’s best flag football players will take the field at Rockford’s new state-of-the-art sports facility.

On Saturday, October 25, 2025, the [Clarence Hicks Sports Complex](https://www.wifr.com/2025/08/31/rockford-park-district-celebrates-opening-clarence-hicks-memorial-sports-complex/), 2004 Ogilby Rd., will host the [Chicago Bears NFL FLAG Regional Tournament](https://nflflag.com/events/bears).
Around 50 teams will compete across 11 divisions: 8U-14U for boys and 10U through high school for girls.
More than 1,000 players, coaches and fans are expected to make their way to the complex and generate an estimated economic impact of $467,509 for the community.
Attending athletes will compete for a spot in the NFL FLAG Summer Championships in July 2026.
