Just three games in the Premier League season Nuno Espírito Santo is reportedly set to be sacked by Nottingham Forest, according to widespread reports.

Santo replaced promotion-winning manager Steve Cooper in December 2023 and he guided the club to Premier League survival in his first season in charge. But behind the scenes complications began to emerge.

While Forest got their season off to a strong start with a 3-1 defeat of Brentford, Nuno admitted after the win there had been a breakdown in communication with Marinakis and they were ‘not as close’ anymore.

Recently Nuno Espirito Santo admitted his relationship with Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis had broken down and said there's "no smoke without fire" when asked about speculation over his future.

Nuno's comments were said to leave Forest bosses baffled and led to those within the club questioning his commitment to the role.

Though there has been no official confirmation from the club, Nuno is expected to be relieved of his duties imminently.
