It wouldn't be a typical week without Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman making a bold trade.
Late Monday night, NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported the Eagles have traded a 2026 fifth and sixth-round pick to the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange for running back Tank Bigsby. During the Jaguars' win over the Carolina Panthers, Bigsby had five carries for 12 yards.

This is the fifth trade made by Roseman since August 17, as he has acquired four players and three draft picks. In exchange, he has traded two players and six draft picks. It's the second trade involving Jacksonville.
The Jaguars drafted Bigsby back in the third round in 2023, and he has been the backup in the backfield during that time. He has rushed for 910 yards and nine touchdowns in 34 career games.
Is Will Shipley's injury worse than Eagles fans think?
The very first thing that comes to Eagles fans' minds is what the status is with backup running back Will Shipley. He was knocked out of the 24-20 win over the Dallas Cowboys with an injury to his ribs.
Philly already made a move to bring in help at running back with re-signing Montrell Johnson to the practice squad as insurance. The Eagles also have the 2024 NFL rushing champion Saquon Barkley and A.J. Dillon in the backfield.
It appears that Shipley is going to be gone for awhile. That will leave the backup job to Dillon for now as Bigsby could jump into that role.
The offense for the Eagles shouldn't change too much, but it will affect the passing game. Shipley was expected to play a bigger role in catching passes out of the backfield. Dillon has good hands and will take over that third-down back role, so fans shouldn't sleep on him.

It came as an initial shock for the Eagles to acquire Bigsby, but this helps the depth at running back that was needed.
