After the drama of the summer transfer window, Eddie Howe will be desperate for his Newcastle United team to solely focus on football.
It has been a tough start to the season for Newcastle United. While they have played well, they are without a win from their opening three games.
Not having a senior striker has hurt them, but that should change with the arrivals of Yoane Wissa and Nick Woltemade.
They will hope to make their Toon debuts against Wolves on Saturday, as Eddie Howe attempts to extend his outstanding record.

Eddie Howe’s record against Wolves as Newcastle United manager
Since becoming Newcastle United manager, Howe has faced Wolves on seven separate occasions.
Out of those seven games, Howe has not lost a single one of them. His Newcastle side have done incredibly well against Wolves, winning five times and drawing twice.
Interestingly, those two draws came at Molineux. Howe has a 100% record against Wolves at St James’ Park, and will look to preserve it on Saturday.

The Magpies will go into the game as favourites. Their squad is superior, while Newcastle have won their last three games against Wolves.

Newcastle United’s record against Wolves before Eddie Howe’s arrival
Eddie Howe’s record against Wolves as Toon boss is all the more impressive when you look back at how Newcastle did against the West Midlands side before his arrival.
Since 2018, the two sides have consistently played against each other in the top flight.
Under Rafa Benitez and Steve Bruce, Newcastle failed to win a single Premier League game against Wolves. Those two former Newcastle managers oversaw seven games against Wolves, with a record of five draws and two defeats.
Everything changed when Howe took over, which was a product of PIF becoming the Newcastle United owners.
The Magpies’ final game before PIF bought the club from Mike Ashley was actually against Wolves, with Newcastle losing 2-1 at Molineux.
Jeff Hendrick scored the final Newcastle United goal of the Mike Ashley era, which should prove to be a great pub quiz answer for years to come.
