The international break came at a great time for Benjamin Sesko as he got some much-needed minutes in his legs for Slovenia.
Ahead of the resumption of club matches with a marquee derby against Manchester City, Benjamin Sesko started both games for Slovenia.
He played 90 minutes in both as Slovenia drew one and lost another. However, Sesko grabbed the headlines in both.
Sesko’s ‘martial arts skill’ vs Sweden turned heads, and even though he struggled to get going against Switzerland, he went a step further and showcased an ‘unreal’ moment that proved his potential.

Benjamin Sesko’s ‘unreal’ moment vs Switzerland
The game against Switzerland finished in a 3-0 loss for Slovenia, but some perspective and context are needed.
In both games, against Sweden and Switzerland, Slovenia were heavy underdogs who were under the cosh for most of the game.
Sesko received barely any service, but what he did when he received the ball was breathtaking at times.
Against Switzerland, one moment of his is going viral for the combination of athleticism, poise, and technical excellence he showed.

A floated ball was played over him and was overhit to such an extent that he had absolutely no right to reach it.
However, Sesko, with his remarkable physical gifts, launched himself in the air and plucked the ball from a height of above 7 feet by stretching his leg above his head.
Not only did he bring the ball down with the softest touch, but he also had the awareness to send the defender scrambling by caressing the ball into the path of his teammate, who volleyed a shot at goal.
Man Utd fans left speechless at Sesko moment
For a player of Sesko’s age, having the raw tools and the ability to use them in match situations is the first step towards eventual greatness.
To see him achieve such remarkable athletic feats is tantalising for Man Utd fans, who were left speechless at the latest example.
“Sesko isn’t real man… did someone forget to pay the realism subscription?”, asked one fan in pure amazement.
“He’s out here doing glitches from FIFA in real life,” remarked another at the unbelievable nature of the moment.
“Insane” and “speechless” were terms that kept repeating themselves in many reactions across X, formerly known as Twitter.
“EA are about to make him extremely glitchy with them high balls,” echoed another fan at the sheer ridiculousness of Sesko’s athleticism.
There were also many fans who were reminded of Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s feats of insane athleticism after watching Sesko do the same.
“That’s probably the only ball they passed to him all game, and it was way over his head. Couldn’t believe he controlled that!” said another.
Finally, the player has earned a proper nickname for himself with these repeated acts of breathtaking athleticism. “Air Sesko”, based on Michael Jordan’s “Air Jordan”, has become a running theme with him.
Now, he just needs to add goals to these highlight reels to complete the final product. Man City are waiting.
