Jeremy Doku left very impressed by Chelsea youngster after facing him on international duty

The quality of Chelsea’s squad always means they have plenty of players representing their countries on international duty, however the latest to receive praise is yet to feature for the Blues.

A number of their top performing stars have kept up their electric start to the season during the first international break of the season.

Estevao Willian scored his first goal for Brazil, while Reece James picked up praise for standing out in an underwhelming England win.

One country who enjoyed a very strong two fixtures was Belgium, winning games against Liechtenstein and Kazakhstan by a scoreline of 6-0 in both games.

Jeremy Doku praises Chelsea youngster Dastan Satpaev

The latter fixture saw him come up against Dastan Satpaev, who has captured attention over the last few months since Chelsea struck a deal to sign him.

Despite not starting the game, the forward made an impression on their superstar opponents with his performance in the second half, leaving Belgium’s Jeremy Doku praising him as a standout player.

He said to Sports24.kz: “I think that the Kazakhstan team looked good, especially in the first half hour of the match. The team played well in defense and had the potential to counterattack. This was before the goal was conceded.

“I would highlight number 19, [Dastan Satpaev] – his performance made a good impression on me. Overall, the guys gave a lot of effort on the field, and now it is important for them to continue working hard.”

Satpaev had struggled in Kazakhstan’s first fixture of the break against Wales, however has already set himself up for a big future in the game.

The striker is unable to join up with the Blues until next summer, however there is already plenty of excitement over what he will bring when he moves to Stamford Bridge.

Satpaev helped Kairat Almaty qualify for the Champions League for the first time in their history, where they will have the chance to line up against Real Madrid and Arsenal.

His incredible club showings have seen Satpaev become Kazakhstan’s youngest ever starter, and this international break has proven that was not a one-off.

Chelsea have a coach working with Satpaev in Eastern Europe in an attempt to get him up to speed before he turns 18 next summer, and becomes eligible to join the Blues.
