New Nottingham Forest manager contract details emerge ahead of appointment

Nottingham Forest are in line to confirm the appointment of Ange Postecoglou as their new head coach today.

The Reds announced the sacking of Nuno Espirito Santo at 12.15am on Tuesday morning. The Portuguese was axed just three games into the Premier League season.

Former Tottenham Hotspur boss Postecoglou quickly emerged as the favourite to replace Nuno. And an announcement could come as early as today.

Forest are eager to make a swift appointment given they are a matter of days away from returning to action after the international break. If all goes as expected, a return to the capital - to face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium - on Saturday (12.30pm kick-off) will be Postecoglou’s first match in charge.

According to The Telegraph, the 60-year-old is likely to put pen to paper on an 18-month contract Trentside. It will mark a return to work for Postecoglou since he left Spurs in June.

Postecoglou’s departure from Tottenham came after he had led them to the Europa League trophy. Take on the Forest hot seat and he will be tasked with overseeing a similar achievement.
