Arsenal’s Myles Lewis-Skelly has been left out of Thomas Tuchel’s England squad for tonight’s 2026 World Cup qualifier away against Serbia.
The 18-year-old earned his fourth senior cap and played the full 90 minutes at left-back as the Three Lions eased to a 2-0 win over European minnows Andorra at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.
Lewis-Skelly trained with his England teammates on Monday morning and travelled to Belgrade where the Three Lions - sitting five points clear at the top of Group D - will take on second-placed Serbia at the Rajko Mitic Stadium.
However, according to multiple reports, including one from the Evening Standard, Lewis-Skelly will not be involved against Serbia as Tuchel has made the decision to omit the Arsenal teenager from his matchday squad.
England took a total of 24 players to Serbia, but under UEFA rules, only 23 players can be included in the matchday squad, with Lewis-Skelly the unfortunate one to miss out on this occasion.
Former Liverpool defender Jarell Quansah - now at Bayer Leverkusen - was left out of last weekend’s win over Andorra, and it is Lewis-Skelly who has not made the cut this time around.

Arsenal receive boost as Lewis-Skelly to be rested by England
One player who has been included at the expense of Lewis-Skelly is Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi, who was taken off against Andorra with a groin problem but is available for selection against Serbia having made a swift recovery.
Lewis-Skelly’s omission is not believed to be injury-related which comes as a major boost for Mikel Arteta and Arsenal ahead of Saturday lunchtime’s Premier League home clash with Nottingham Forest.
Tuchel confirmed at his pre-match press conference on Monday that “everyone is available” and that he has not injury concerns ahead of the clash with Serbia.
"In terms of performances, not too many changes. Maybe some adjustments,” Tuchel told reporters. “We had an excellent camp and everyone deserves to play. We do the last decisions tonight and tomorrow morning, everyone is available.
"We are getting better against the low block, but every match is different, we have to take advantage of the spaces they show us tomorrow.
“It is difficult to break down a low block, no secret about that, but we have progressed. I am happy with the attitudes and I am absolutely convinced we are getting there."
In the absence of Lewis-Skelly, Tuchel is likely to call upon either Newcastle United’s Tino Livramento or Tottenham Hotspur’s Djed Spence to start at left-back, the latter of whom is pushing to make his senior international debut.
