Ange Postecoglu, Nottingham Forest's new head coach
Ange Postecoglou is Nottingham Forest's new head coach - replacing Nuno Espirito Santo, who has been sacked.
Nuno publicly revealed his broken relationship with club owner Evangelos Marinakis last month. He also previously criticised the club's transfer activity this summer.
Just a few months ago in June, the 51-year-old was given a new contract after guiding Forest into the Europa League, the team's first European qualification since 1995.
Nuno departs the City Ground as the club’s most successful manager since Frank Clark - so there are big shoes to fill.
Who is Ange Postecoglou, and why was he sacked by Spurs?
The Australian, 60, was head coach at Tottenham for nearly two years, until he was sacked at the end of last season.
It was after Spurs finished one spot above the relegation zone (17th) - the club's worst ever Premier League finish.
But - he led Spurs to Europa League victory last season, defeating Manchester United to end the club's long-running trophy drought. It earned the club a spot in this season's Champions League.
Postecoglou was the first Australian to manage in the Premier League, having been appointed in June 2023.
During his first season in charge, he led Spurs to fifth-place in the Premier League, qualifying for the Europa League after a year-long absence from European football.
What about before Spurs?
Postecoglou managed Scottish Premiership club Celtic for two seasons from 2021 to 2023.
He was appointed after Celtic lost their league title to Rangers for the first time in a decade. The club reclaimed the title, during his first season in charge.
Before that, he had been coaching clubs in Australia and Japan - including the Australia national team from 2013 to 2017.
