Dan Quinn doesn’t hesitate naming 1 thing that makes Micah Parsons tough ahead of…

The Micah Parsons era in Titletown took off to a great start, with the Green Bay Packers defeating the Detroit Lions last Sunday at home, 27-13.

Parsons, who was traded to Green Bay from the Dallas Cowboys in a transaction that also involved veteran defensive tackle Kenny Clark and a pair of future first-round picks, got a sack in his Green Bay debut, successfully taking Lions quarterback Jared Goff to the ground in spectacular fashion in the fourth quarter of the contest.

It’s worth noting that Parsons didn’t get to have a training camp in the offseason because of his contract saga with the Cowboys, and was labeled questionable before the Lions game due to a back issue, but those circumstances didn’t hold him back from making an impact in Week 1. He should get better going forward, with the Washington Commanders about to meet a familiar foe this coming Sunday.

The Commanders and Parsons have seen each other several times in the past few years, thanks to the defensive end’s stint with the Cowboys.

Washington head coach Dan Quinn knows all about that, and he’ll be on the opposite end of Parsons anew, as his team faces his former ward.

Via Miles Jordan of Commanders Wire:

Quinn, who oversaw Parsons’ transition from a promising rookie to one of the NFL’s most feared pass rushers, knows exactly what kind of challenge awaits his Commanders’ offensive line. When asked the toughest thing about defending Parsons, Quinn didn’t hesitate:

“Speed,” he said.

Parsons and the Packers’ pass rush will be facing a different challenge in Week 2. Commanders second-year quarterback Jayden Daniels is a far more mobile and athletic signal-caller than Goff. That said, Daniels was sacked three times for a loss of 21 yards in Washington’s 21-6 win over the New York Giants at home in Week 1.
