Fulham handed huge boost ahead of Leeds United clash

Just days till club football resumes, and Leeds United will be pleased with what has happened during the international break. So far there has not been any bad news, bar Illia Gruev’s situation.

The club will expect a fully fit squad ahead of this weekend’s game with Fulham. Daniel Farke’s side have four points from a possible nine this season, and will be away from home this weekend. The Whites’ away form is a serious cause for concern after they lost both games this season. Leeds suffered a 5-0 hammering at the hands of Arsenal, and a shock defeat to Sheffield Wednesday in the EFL Cup.

But as of Tuesday, Forest have officially decided to hire former Spurs coach Ange Postecoglou, which means that Silva will continue his stay at Fulham. The London club now have no distractions as they prepare to face Daniel Farke’s side this weekend.

Injury status update

Fulham still have Issa Diop as a doubt for the upcoming game. He is still carrying a knock from before the international break. But many reports expect him to be fit in time to play a part in the game.

Leeds on the other hand, have fresh injury concerns. Bulgaria boss Illian Illiev revealed that midfielder Illia Gruev played the second half of their last game against Georgia with an injury. He is yet to arrive at Thorp Arch to be assessed.

Outside Gruev, Ethan Ampadu and Ao Tanaka could be doubts but based on Daniel Farke’s words, both players could recover in time for the trip to London.
