Report: Bengals to sign DE Isaiah Foskey

The Cincinnati Bengals are expected to sign a former second-round pick from the 2023 NFL Draft. According to Jordan Schultz, former Saints defensive end Isaiah Foskey is expected to sign with the Bengals after visiting the Bears and Eagles.

Foskey was selected by the Saints in the second round of the 2023 draft out of Notre Dame, where he played his final year for the Fighting Irish under current Bengals’ defensive coordinator Al Golden. He only played 84 defensive snaps his rookie season with the Saints and didn’t have any sacks. He took less defensive snaps in his second year, again with no sacks, but he did contribute on special teams over his two seasons in New Orleans. He was released by the Saints when they had to make final cuts this preseason.

Foskey, if signed to the 53-man roster and not the practice squad, will join a rotation of edge defenders including Shemar Stewart, Joseph Ossai and Myle Murphy, as well as another former Saints edge rusher, Trey Hendrickson.
