The Premier League transfer window has been shut for more than a week but Manchester United have remained hard at work negotiating deals.
United were successful in making some adjustments to Ruben Amorim's squad and replenished the team's frontline as Matheus Cunha, Benjamin Sesko and Bryan Mbeumo all arrived, while Rasmus Hojlund departed.
Exits were even facilitated for Antony, Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho after it was decided they had no future at Old Trafford, albeit with more loans than planned required.
While United will have to wait for a new central midfielder — Carlos Baleba appears to still be on the agenda — they can conduct some useful business with transfer windows open elsewhere.
The deadline in Turkey falls on September 12 with Super Lig sides still proving to be busy in the final days their market remains open. And that allows United some timely opportunities to see more players depart.
Andre Onana is likely to be the most high profile departure and looks set for a move to Trabzonspor. The Cameroon international is to agree a season-long loan move in a bid to play more first team football following Senne Lammens' arrival.
Trabzonspor are set to cover Onana's entire wages and the goalkeeper will also receive a pay rise due to Turkey's 20 per cent tax rate for players in the Super Lig.
Tyrell Malacia could yet make the trip to Turkey too. The Dutch defender did not see his loan move to PSV Eindhoven made permanent and saw a loan move to Elche collapse late in the transfer window.
The 26-year-old has garnered interest from Turkey and Saudi Arabia already this summer. The latter's transfer window remains open until September 23.
Academy ace Sam Mather has also drawn suitors from Turkey, in addition to Germany and Sweden, this summer. United hoped to agree a permanent exit for the 21-year-old but a loan, with an obligation to buy, could also be possible at this stage.
Other transfer windows still open where opportunities could yet arise include Greece (September 12) and Serbia (September 17).
