In a notably quiet offseason for the Golden State Warriors, one thing is certain: Draymond Green will always have plenty to say.
The four-time NBA champion made headlines last week by declaring that the Warriors will win the championship in the upcoming season.
In a workout video with teammate Jimmy Butler, Green appeared spry, healthy, and in good spirits as the Warriors prepare for what has made them great time and again.
Addition of Butler made all the difference
The acquisition of Butler before last season’s trade deadline definitely raised expectations for the Warriors in comparison to the rest of the Western Conference.

As a seventh seed, they upset the second seed in the first round and followed that up with a Game One victory over Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Unfortunately, a hamstring injury to star Stephen Curry derailed the Warriors’ hopes and deflated any title possibilities, as success in the playoffs is often difficult without the head of the snake.
Warriors looking to win it all again
Nevertheless, it’s a new season with rejuvenated legs, improved team chemistry, and always the highest of expectations.
When healthy, the Warriors had the potential to make a deep playoff run last year.
Stephen Curry is undefeated in the Western Conference Finals, and Green has often reiterated the importance of Curry when discussing the Warriors’ championship chances.
“Do we have Steph?” he asks, implying that with Curry, success is likely to follow.

Despite the lack of new signings, Green’s workouts with Butler suggest a focus on building team chemistry and leveraging the strong connection he also developed with Curry.
Green’s value extends beyond his strong defensive presence; his incredible basketball IQ and ability to anticipate where his teammates need the ball are crucial to his effectiveness on the court.
