According to TEAMtalk, Aberdeen teenager Cooper Masson is attracting interest from two big Premier League sides. Manchester City and Tottenham are keeping tabs on the central midfielder, who continues to excel while on loan with Scottish Tier-3 side Kelly Hearts.
As the dust from the summer transfer window storm has now settled, clubs are utilising this time, ideally not conducive to scouting senior stars, to watch youth prospects. The Premier League clubs are involved in a huge race to have some of the best young prospects in their respective squads.
Manchester City have been at the forefront of the race for the best young talents from around. They have actively stayed alert on many deals and recently concluded a move for Burnley’s 14-year-old rising star William Stanley-Jones.
Similarly, Manchester City are vying for Barcelona’s teenage sensation Dro Fernandez, and now, they are eager to explore a move for Scottish teen Cooper Masson. The Scottish wonderkid, 16, has become a key part of third-tier side Kelly Hearts, where he has been starting regularly this season.
His parent club is Scottish Premiership outfit Aberdeen, who decided to loan him in the hope of helping him gain experience. The plan has worked out well so far, with the 16-year-old Scottish midfield sensation performing admirably, albeit in the third tier, which has led to teams like Manchester City keeping close tabs.
