Nottingham Forest have today replaced Nuno Espirito Santo with Ange Postecoglou.
Evangelos Marinakis has cleared up his decision to act after his relationship broke down with Espirito Santo at the start of the season.
The Portuguese boss was less than impressed with the club’s slow approach to the transfer window, with only Dan Ndoye starting the opening game against Brentford as a new signing.
Marinakis rewarded Espirito Santo with a host of new additions after the Europa League was confirmed for Forest, but that still wasn’t enough.
The breakdown came when Espirito Santo and Edu had a disagreement over whether or not Adama Traore should be signed from Fulham during the transfer window.
Now, it’s Postecoglou who will be taking the reins, and his first game is against Arsenal on Saturday.
