Brighton & Hove Albion have looked at the South America to sign young talents over the years.
The Premier League club are still keeping a close watch the same market and have their eyes set on Boca Juniors’ Milton Delgado.
That’s at least what El Intransigente are reporting, and they cover Brighton’s interest in the 20-year-old.
The defensive midfielder climbed through the ranks of the Argentine club’s youth system and made his way into their first team in March 2024. He played 34 games and was part of the Argentina U20 squad at the U20 South American championship at the start of this year.
Since returning from this tournament, the young talent has featured in every league tie for Boca Juniors, and his performances would have caught Brighton’s attention.
It’s claimed Boca Juniors president Juan Román Riquelme has been ‘on alert’ because Fabian Hürzeler’s side want to bring the Argentina to The Amex.
Juan Román Riquelme fear losing him, probably in the next window and is aware of the possibility of receiving offers for the youngster, without specifying whether that could be from the Seagulls.
Delgado’s contract expires in December 2028, but El Intransigente claim he’s open to an opportunity in Europe and until then, he wants to enjoy regular minutes with Boca Juniors.
If Brighton are keen on Delgado, there would be more updates from South American in the coming weeks or months.
