The Arizona Cardinals took care of business in Week 1 against the New Orleans Saints, defeating them 20-13.
It was the first time the Cardinals won their season opener since 2021, a potential sign that things are looking up.
People have doubted quarterback Kyler Murray, his supporting cast and the coaching staff for several seasons, but their performance was anything but discouraging.
The NFC West is a difficult division, but with the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers not looking as dominant, and the Seattle Seahawks going through some growing pains, the Cardinals might have a window of opportunity.
Murray and the offense are the most discussed part of this team, but the Cardinals have players on defense who could make it a dangerous unit.
PFF gave high grades to rookie Will Johnson, for instance.
He had the second-best coverage grade of any cornerback in Week 1, and his three forced incompletions were also second best.

This had to be encouraging, as the Cardinals have struggled to find dynamic players in their secondary.
It will be interesting to see how they perform over the rest of the season and whether they can maintain this momentum.
For now, fans can be encouraged and hopeful about the future.
