West Ham’s summer transfer window was nothing short of chaotic.
A host of familiar faces moved on — Vladimir Coufal and Aaron Cresswell both departed, Nayef Aguerd sealed a switch to Marseille, and Mohamed Kudus — arguably the team’s biggest game-changer — joined London rivals Spurs.
To make matters worse for many supporters, Michail Antonio, the club’s all-time Premier League top scorer, left on a free following his well-documented car crash. It was an exodus that left Graham Potter with a very different-looking squad heading into the new campaign.
And now, even with the window firmly shut, the departures continue — this time in the form of a senior goalkeeper.

West Ham United have confirmed that Wes Foderingham has joined Cypriot First Division side Aris Limassol on a permanent deal.
The former England youth international only arrived at the London Stadium in June 2024, but he departs having played a valuable role behind the scenes, featuring in multiple matchday squads and providing experience and support to his fellow keepers.
Foderingham, once described as “incredible” by former Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp, also made his mark off the pitch. In May, he was recognised as the Club’s PFA Community Champion for 2024/25, a testament to his commitment to charitable and community initiatives during his short stay in east London.
The 33-year-old now embarks on a new chapter in Cyprus with Aris Limassol, who finished second in the league last season and have made a perfect start to 2025/26 with two wins from two.
His exit, though not unexpected, further underlines the sweeping changes at West Ham this summer. For Potter, it means even greater reliance on Alphonse Areola and new arrival Mads Hermansen — unless, of course, the Hammers dip back into the market for another experienced hand between the sticks.
