West Ham United have announced that Riko Ueki has signed a new contract, extending her stay at the Club until the summer of 2027. Ueki joined the Hammers in the summer of 2023 and has since made 55 appearances, scoring 13 goals and providing 7 assists.
Before moving to West Ham, Ueki spent seven years at Tokyo Verdy Beleza. In her debut season in the Women’s Super League, she quickly made an impact, scoring six goals and being crowned Young Hammer of the Season.
What Riko Ueki Had to Say
“I’m happy to continue my journey with West Ham,” said Ueki. “It’s unbelievable to reflect on my time at the Club over the last couple of years—it’s been so special. I can’t believe how well everything has gone for me and how much I’ve enjoyed it.
“I love being here. London is my second home and West Ham is my second family. Everyone is so kind to me, and my teammates have helped me a lot.
“Rehanne has also taught me so much, and as a player, I’ve improved a lot under her. I feel proud to play for Rehanne and for this Club.
“Our fans are so important to me, and to us as a team too. Every game, they help us—both home and away. Our home record last season was great, and I can’t wait for our first home game of the season on Friday. I want to celebrate this news with the fans and play well to help the team get a positive result against Arsenal.”
