What a disaster.
The Bears disappointed on Monday night against the Minnesota Vikings in a 27-24 loss that saw them in control most of the way through three quarters. In the fourth quarter up 17-6, the Bears allowed the Vikings to go on a 21-0 run that decided the outcome of the game. The failures fell on all three phases. The offense was stuck in neutral after the first drive. The defense, which started out really strong, failed to make key stops in the fourth quarter. Additionally, there were multiple special teams blunders at key times.
On an individual basis, there were many players who stood, both for positive and negative reasons. While it is only week one, Monday’s game served as a first impression for this iteration of the Chicago Bears. To put it nicely, many players did not make a great first impression.
With that in mind, let's go over the positive and negative outliers from this game. Here are our winners and losers for the Bears in the Week 1 loss to the Vikings at Soldier Field.
