Last year, Gobert was a double-double machine and averaged 12.0 points and 10.9 rebounds per game, shooting 66.9 percent from the field.
As expected, he was a defensive monster and constantly shut down his many opponents.
The Timberwolves have been on the verge of greatness for several years, but fans are waiting for them to take things to the next level.
This might be the year it all happens.
In fact, if the Timberwolves aren’t able to claim a spot at the top of the Western Conference, they could be forced to make some roster changes.
Gobert would surely be one of the biggest trade chips the T-Wolves have, which means he could be on the move if 2025-26 isn’t a resounding success.
If the Timberwolves fall short and truly contemplate trading Gobert, a bunch of teams would step up and attempt to sign him.
He is making more than $35 million a year for the next three seasons, which means he is coming with a hefty price tag.
But Gobert is a foundational player who could be worth it for numerous franchises.
He isn’t thinking about being traded or what the long-term future holds.
Instead, Gobert is simply attempting to get in the best shape possible for the new season.
