Training camp is drawing near, and the Philadelphia 76ers need to figure out their situation with Quentin Grimes.
The restricted free agent hasn’t signed a new deal with the Sixers, although many people expect he will.
Grimes added fuel to that fire recently when he posted a photo of himself in his 76ers jersey on Instagram.
That feels like Grimes stating that he’s ready to be back with the 76ers.

Grimes could agree to a qualifying offer with Philadelphia, which might be the best move for him.
It’ll give him $8.5 million in the new year, leading to him being an unrestricted free agent next summer.
Importantly, this deal would also come with a no-trade clause, which means he’d be comfortable in Philadelphia for the entire season.
This would give him time to either build a better relationship with the Sixers or bolster his value so he’s a coveted target in free agency next summer.
Last season, Grimes averaged 14.6 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game on 46.7 percent from the field and 38.5 percent from beyond the three-point line.
The 76ers would love to get that sort of output from him again, but they don’t want to spend too much money, especially if they are thinking of acquiring more A-list talent in the months ahead.
This qualifying offer is generous to the team and could also set up a good future for Grimes.
His social media post suggests that he is excited to remain in Philadelphia, although no one is sure how long he’ll be there.
Fans are expecting the qualifying offer to be signed soon, and then all eyes will be on the season ahead.
