Have you ever wondered if you could bring the same passion to the stands as Keldon Johnson does on the court for an entire game? Because, if so, the Spurs are looking for you. Victor Wembanyama just announced the introduction of the Supporter Section for this upcoming season and issued invites to San Antonio fans to show up for tryouts on September 14.

This is an exciting opportunity that you can't just purchase (although you will have to buy a membership if selected). You'll have to show up bright and early to show just how crazed you can be in support of the Silver and Black. If you live and breathe Spurs basketball, this is something you'll be interested in.
What is the Supporter Section?
This is a similar concept to what Steve Ballmer has created for the LA Clippers. They call it "The Wall," and the arena was constructed with it in mind, making the section close to the visitor's bench and behind the basket. It's very steep, and plays with your head when you're at the free-throw line because of how "in your face" it makes the fans appear.
If you're in this section, you're supposed to be rabid, pretty much from start to finish, but especially when the opponent is shooting free throws to enhance the home court advantage.

Obviously, the Spurs didn't build the Frost Bank Center to have the same effect, but they're doing their own version of it with the Supporter Section. You'll be seated in section 114. Like The Wall, that section is behind the basket on the visitor side. The goal is the same. Give San Antonio an added edge by bringing nonstop energy to the arena.
It won't be cheap, though. If you're selected, you'll have to pay $999, either in one full payment or in two payments, with one due before the season starts and the other in January. But you get credentials to go to every single home game for the entirety of the season. That's great value, as pricey as it may be.
The Spurs will also provide benefits to members of the Supporter Section, where you'll receive team swag, gear, discounts at the fan shop, and an undisclosed number of meetups where the team pays for dinner, and you learn new chants. There will also be special guest appearances, likely from active and former players, considering how family-oriented the organization has always been.
