The NFL first started its International Series in 2007, taking London by storm and growing in stature across the United Kingdom every year since.
Since then, the league has expanded into Mexico, Germany, Brazil, and this season will even break new ground with games in Dublin and Madrid.
For bettors, these fixtures can be tricky to assess, as travel records often affect how peoplebet on the NFL in the UK just as much as form and injuries.
Nearly two decades in, some teams have been called upon to cross the pond far more often than others. Let’s take a look at the true veterans of the global stage in NFL International Series games.

It will surprise nobody that the Jacksonville Jaguars top the list of international regulars. Since debuting in 2013, the Jags have played in London every single year, racking up 13 appearances in the English capital.
Wembley has effectively become their second home, with the team holding a respectable 7-6 record abroad. The franchise has even been touted as a candidate for permanent relocation to London.
After double-duty the past two seasons, Jacksonville will only play once internationally this year—facing the LA Rams at Wembley in October.
Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins are another Florida franchise with a strong international presence, having featured six times overseas.
While their popularity with international fans is undeniable, their record is far less flattering—just one win from six appearances.
That lone success came in 2014 when they beat the then-Oakland Raiders 28-14 at Wembley. Since then, Miami has dropped three straight losses, including last year’s 21-14 defeat to the Chiefs in Frankfurt.
They’ll be hoping to turn the tide in the first-ever Madrid game this November when they face the Washington Commanders at the iconic Bernabéu Stadium.
Las Vegas Raiders
The Raiders, whether in Oakland, Los Angeles, or now Las Vegas, have long been one of the NFL’s most recognizable franchises.
They’ve appeared five times internationally, holding a 2-3 record, but their global adventures have been on pause since relocating to Nevada.
Their last overseas game came in 2019, when they edged past the Bears 24-21 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
With Vegas now firmly established as their Allegiant Stadium home, it’s been six seasons since the Silver and Black played abroad—but given their global fanbase, it seems only a matter of time before they return to the schedule.
New England Patriots
Though the Patriots’ dynasty era under Bill Belichick and Tom Brady has ended, their international popularity is still immense.
New England has played five international games, splitting their appearances between London, Mexico, and Germany.
They played in the UK three times, most recently in 2023, when they fell 32-16 to the Jaguars at Wembley—their first-ever defeat in London.
They also travelled to Mexico City in 2017, beating the Raiders, before losing a defensive battle to the Colts in Frankfurt in 2023.
With their worldwide following, the Patriots remain one of the NFL’s marquee global attractions.
Other regular travelers
Several other franchises have also built a strong overseas presence:
Minnesota Vikings (4-0): The most successful international travelers, unbeaten in four appearances, now face the Steelers in Dublin
New York Giants (3-1): Strong record across multiple trips, including a 2022 win over the Packers in London.
Los Angeles Rams (2-2): Mixed fortunes in four outings but returning again this year against Jacksonville.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-3): Less successful than the rest, but among the frequent flyers.
