The Green Bay Packers selected wide receiver Christian Watson in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft. The pick brought a ton of excitement to Green Bay and had fans hoping for a true #1 wide receiver. While we have seen glimpses of greatness, Watson has yet to consistently put it all together.
Still, Green Bay decided to extend him.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter:
Even in the midst of rehab for his torn ACL, the Packers are rewarding WR Christian Watson with a one-year, $13.25 million contract extension, per his agent Adisa Bakari. The extension ties Watson to Green Bay through the 2026 season, allows him to focus on getting healthy and not having to play this season for a new deal.
Watson remains on PUP, and is expected back later this season.
