The Packers traded up to select Watson with the first pick in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft. In his first three seasons, Watson has flashed the ability to be dominant. With his rare combination of size and speed Watson is the type of player who can create opportunities for his teammates even when he doesn’t catch the ball. Defenses feel they must account for him on every play, and he often draws double coverage.

Watson tore his ACL last year during the season finale against the Bears. He is presently on PUP which allows him to practice and work with the team as he continues his rehab. The Packers will look to make a decison on Watson after Week 4 in regards to activating him to the active roster.

"There's kind of a timeline with these ACLs," Brian Gutekunst said this summer. "He's ahead of the curve, no doubt about it, but, at the same time, he's got a long career in front of him so we're going to make sure we don't skip any steps along the way."

The Packers are clearly a better team when Watson is on the field and healthy. He also has the tools to be a dominant receiver in the NFL if he can finally stay on the field consistently.
