Manchester United duo Andre Onana and Bryan Mbeumo both featured in Cameroon’s latest World Cup qualifier against Cape Verde.
Andre Onana and Bryan Mbeumo are just two of 12 Manchester United stars who flew out for international duty after the 3-2 win over Burnley.
Both players have had very contrasting starts to the season with Mbeumo voted Player of the Month for making a big impact since his move from Brentford. Meanwhile, Onana is set to join Trabzonspor on loan after falling down the pecking order under Ruben Amorim.
But the two United stars teamed up in the Cameroon squad to continue their quest to qualify for the World Cup.

Andre Onana and Bryan Mbeumo suffer World Cup blow
Earlier this week, Onana and Mbeumo starred in a 3-0 win as Cameroon comfortably beat Eswatini.
It set up an exciting clash with Group D leaders Cape Verde on Tuesday evening, but Cameroon suffered a 1-0 defeat.
Only one side from each group is guaranteed qualification to the 2026 World Cup, and Cameroon now sit four points behind Cape Verde in the standings. They need one more win to secure top spot.
Both Onana and Mbeumo started in the match, with the latter lining up on the right of a four-man midfield. He played 87 minutes before being replaced.

Dailon Livramento scored the only goal of the game, beating Onana in a one-on-one scenario after dribbling through Cameroon’s half.
What next for Bryan Mbeumo and Andre Onana
Mbeumo and Onana will meet up again in October to round off Cameroon’s World Cup qualifying fixtures.
But in terms of their club football, their paths are about to split.
Mbeumo is preparing for the Manchester derby this and will hope to continue his goalscoring form the Red Devils after scoring against Grimsby Town and Burnley.

As for Onana, he is set to complete a loan move to Trabzonspor after Senne Lammens arrived on deadline day to take his spot in the United squad.
With Mbeumo and Onana both hoping to be key figures in Cameroon’s upcoming AFCON campaign, they will be eager to build up their form before the competition.
