Manchester United will return to Premier League action with the first Manchester derby of the 2025/2026 season against Manchester City on Sunday afternoon (4.30pm).
Ruben Amorim's team have enjoyed two weeks off for the first international break of the new campaign. The Reds have endured a mixed bag of results so far, beating just Burnley in the league and crashing out of the Carabao Cup to League Two outfit Grimsby Town via a penalty shootout.
This week, United travel to the Etihad Stadium to take on City with Amorim looking to make it two wins from two on the blue side of the city. Last season, the former Sporting CP head coach orchestrated a 2-1 comeback win after late goals from Bruno Fernandes and Amad.
However, United go into the game sweating over the fitness of Matheus Cunha. The summer signing is yet to score for his new club but has been one of the Reds' most dangerous players in the first three games.
Cunha picked up a hamstring issue in the 3-2 win over Burnley before the international break. He has been active on social media to keep fans updated, the latest suggesting he will be back soon - but it's unsure whether he will be okay for Sunday afternoon.

Mason Mount, who has joined Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo in United's front three, is also a doubt after suffering an injury last time out. Amorim confirmed after the win that the playmaker had played 30 minutes injured against the Clarets.
"It was hard to lose a player like Cunha and Mason Mount - Mount played like 30 minutes with an injury," said the head coach after the win over the Clarets on August 30.
"I don't know [if they are long-term injuries], I don't know, but I'm concerned about that.
"They are so important for us, so we'll see."
Diogo Dalot is also a player United will have to decide late on after he withdrew from the Portugal squad. The full-back returned to England due to a 'muscle discomfort'.
In better news, Lisandro Martinez is edging closer to returning. The Argentina international, 27, has been side-lined since February with an ACL injury but it now back on grass at Carrington.
United have a number of players still to play for their national teams in midweek. Bruno Fernandes is expected to play for Portugal at Hungary on Wednesday night, while Amad is also set to feature for Ivory Coast against Gabon.
Cameroon and Bryan Mbeumo are in action at Cape Verde, while Manuel Ugarte's Uruguay meet Chile overnight.
