Ange Postecoglou Takes Familiar Faces to Nottingham Forest

Ange Postecoglou is set to take several familiar names with him to Nottingham Forest as he is confirmed as the club’s new manager.

The former Celtic boss signed a deal at the City Ground on Tuesday, 12 hours after Nuno was sacked. It sees him return to management just months after his departure from Tottenham Hotspur. And he will not be arriving alone.

Postecoglou will be joined by Sergio Raimundo, Nick Montgomery and Mile Jedinak — all of whom worked alongside him during his spell at Spurs, which culminated in a Europa League triumph.

Montgomery is a well-known figure in Scottish football from his time in charge of Hibernian. He linked up with Postecoglou in London after leaving Easter Road and now looks set to be part of his staff once again in the Premier League. His assistant Raimundo, who worked with him at Hibs, will also follow.

Jedinak, the former Crystal Palace and Aston Villa midfielder, has been part of the coaching setup at Spurs and already had a taste of Postecoglou’s methods in Scotland, having visited Lennoxtown during the Australian’s time at Celtic to observe training sessions.

He did try to take John Kennedy and Gavin Strachan to Spurs with him, but there have been no reports of contact this time around.
