Adidas continue to feature photos of Alexander Isak modelling the Newcastle United third shirt on their website despite the events of this summer.

Anthony Gordon, Bruno Guimaraes and Joelinton are also sporting the strip. However, images of Isak remain over a week after the player's departure to Liverpool on transfer deadline day.

Adidas have also briefly included the striker in an advertisement for Liverpool's new third kit, which the sportswear manufacturer made available on Tuesday. They have not yet, though, got around to removing an image of Isak on the page of their website dedicated to Newcastle kits and shirts.

He has notably moved from one Adidas-affiliated club to another this summer, with Nike no longer making Liverpool's kits after that partnership ended. They also continue to supply the Sweden national team, as they have since 2013.

Isak has also been an Adidas athlete for approaching a decade, with that relationship dating back to his breakthrough season at boyhood club AIK in Stockholm. The striker returned to the Swedish capital last week after being called up by the national team despite not playing at all since the end of last season.

He had no involvement during their 2-2 draw with Slovenia, but Monday saw Isak feature for the first time, playing 25 minutes as a second-half substitute in their 2-0 defeat to Kosovo. He spoke after the latter.

"Not everyone has the full picture, but that's something for another day," Isak said to Swedish media. "I can't control everything that's said or written, but I'm happy that I became a Liverpool player.'

"It's great that everything was settled before the camp and that I could focus on playing football again. It's been a fairly new situation for me, but you always learn and develop mentally off the pitch as well."
