September 10 – Arsenal Women, the current Champions of Europe, have confirmed a record haul of more than 17,000 seasonal memberships for the 2025/26 Barclays Women’s Super League campaign, a 12% leap on last year that underlines the momentum behind the women’s game and Arsenal in particular.

What makes this year a true turning point for the Arsenal Women’s team is the decision to stage all 11 league fixtures at the Emirates Stadium, home of the men’s team.

Arsenal Women will no longer splitting time between Boreham Wood and N5.

The season curtain-raiser against London City had all the celebration and pageantry of the men, including the UEFA Women’s Champions League trophy on display outside the Armoury, a celebratory presentation inside the ground, and a tearful farewell to midfield stalwart Lia Wälti, who leaves for Juventus after 183 appearances.

Supporters who’ve snapped up season tickets and six game bundles are being rewarded in new ways, too. Post-match meet and greets, allocated via ballot, will allow fans the chance to rub shoulders with their heroes, getting autographs and selfies. The matchday experience is also getting an upgrade, with fresh food and beverage options delivered by the super brands of Coca-Cola, Guinness, Asahi Super Dry and Athletic Brewing.

In line with the Barclays WSL’s Alcohol Choice pilot, the Emirates will permit both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks within sight of the pitch.

Head coach Renée Slegers, aware of the weight of expectation and opportunity, made no attempt to downplay the role of the crowd saying: “We can’t wait to be back together with our supporters again at the Emirates. The foundations we’ve built – and continue to build together – will lift us higher this season. Every moment we share makes us stronger.”

Managing director Richard Garlick, says the move is historic.

“This week marks the beginning of a new era for our women’s team as we bring all our league matches to Emirates Stadium for the first time. This builds on the extraordinary growth in the game that we’ve been proud to be a part of pioneering,” said Garlick.

From record memberships to a permanent home at the Emirates, Arsenal Women are signaling to the watching world both on and off the pitch that women’s football is now a major player on the sporting and football landscape.
